June 18th is quickly approaching, and nailing the perfect last-minute Father’s Day gift can be hard to do.

I’m sure that any dad would appreciate any gift their daughter/son would give them, but why not get him something he will actually use every day?

This year, I’m giving my dad a shave set from Yes, the same Harry’s you’ve probably seen advertised online for selling super-affordable razors.

Father's Day Gift

About Harry’s

Harry’s is a shaving company that wants to “fix shaving.” Their company and razors are made for real men, who want to get a quality shave at a fair price.

Unlike the big-name retailers, Harry’s doesn’t overcomplicate or overcharge. Their razors and shave products are designed by professionals that use only the finest materials and ingredients.

Harry’s also donates 1% of their sales and volunteers up to 1% of their time to organizations that prepare people for personal and professional success.

The Father’s Day Shave Set

Harry’s is offering a shave set this year, specifically for Father’s Day, for only $30. It’s at the perfect price point for us college students and is still a great quality and thoughtful Father’s Day gift.

The gift set comes already nicely packaged and ready to impress. One thing I love about Harry’s is their intense attention to detail. As you can see from the photos, each piece in the set has a “Harry’s” engraved somewhere on it. You can even get your Dad’s name engraved onto the razor stand for just $10 more.

Each Father’s Day set comes with:

  • 1 Limited-Edition Storm Gray Truman Razor Handle
  • 1 Harry’s Razor Stand
  • 1 Shave Gel (4.0oz)
  • 3 German Engineered Blade Cartridges
  • 1 Travel Blade Cover

The best part? All orders over $10 ship for free in the U.S., so you don’t have to pay extra for shipping. And if you are super last minute to shopping this year, you can pay for expedited shipping.

Survey sites are an awesome resource to use for making extra income. While taking surveys won’t replace your full-time income, they do help with earning extra cash. Instead of surfing the web endlessly for hours, why not give your opinions to companies and earn money while doing it?

Surveys are easy to complete and can even be fun! If you complete all of the survey opportunities sent your way, you can make $100+ per month.

I’ve used lots of different survey sites, and today I am rounding up my 3 favorite sites to use. All of the sites below are completely FREE to sign up for, so I would recommend registering to all of them (more opportunities to earn cash!)

3 Best Online Survey Sites to Use for Making Extra Money

1. Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is one of the best online survey sites out there, and they also have high payout rates for each survey they offer. The more time you invest into taking surveys, the more money you can make!

Another cool thing about Pinecone Research is that you can be sent free products to review for them. This can be anything from shampoo, body lotion, etc.

2. Opinion Outpost

If you haven’t heard about Opinion Outpost yet, you’re missing out. Opinion Outpost is probably one of my favorite survey websites ever because of how easy it is to use, and how many opportunities you get to take surveys.

I like Opinion Outpost because they email you whenever a new survey is ready for you, which eliminates the waiting game. For every survey you complete, you earn points. 100 points = $10, and each survey is usually worth 5-20 points. It’s easy to accumulate points with Opinion Outpost (yay!) Opinion Outpost can also pay you via PayPal, or your points can be turned into gift cards.

3. Swagbucks

I LOVE SWAGBUCKS. There, I said it.

If you are looking to make some extra cash without much effort, Swagbucks is the site for you. And guess what? You get $5 just for signing up here!

While there are lots of different ways to earn with Swagbucks, one of my favorites is with surveys. Swagbucks has lots of different surveys that you can take on their website, and then redeem your bucks for rewards like Amazon gift cards, PayPal cash, Walmart gift cards, and more. They even have certain rewards that go on sale, meaning you can get more cash for fewer Swagbucks than normal.

Tips for Taking Online Surveys:

  • Always be honest when you are answering your surveys. It will only hurt you to be inconsistent in your answers since brands are looking for a specific type of person for some surveys. If you answer what your age is differently every time, you probably won’t get recruited for any new surveys.
  • Sign up for as many different survey websites as possible. There can be dry spells in the online survey world where you may not get a new survey opportunity for awhile. To avoid this, make sure you are registered with multiple websites.
  • Tell your friends + family about your favorite surveys sites! A lot of times, you can earn extra points/cash just for referring people under your name.

Do you use survey websites? What do you think are the best online survey sites? There are lots of websites out there, so I would love to hear about your favorites in the comments.

Spring cleaning may be necessary, but you know what’s even better? Spring REDECORATING!

I’ve teamed up with Pier 1 to give my bedroom a facelift for spring. I’ll be sharing how I decorated my room for spring, to give it a cozy yet minimalistic vibe.

I hope you get inspired by this post to switch around your bedroom and liven it up for spring!

My Bedroom Refresh with Pier 1 Imports

My Bedroom + Style

Before we dive into the decor, let me paint a picture for you of my bedroom. One thing to keep in mind is that it is not big. In any sense of the word. Granted, I am a college student living in Chicago, so space is limited.

However small my room may be, I like to maximize my space and make it feel as inviting as possible. Since I work primarily from home, my bedroom is both my office + cozy space. Working + living in a comfortable space is very important to me!

I wanted to add some flair to my room for spring and add some more texture/variety to my bedroom. As I previously mentioned, I tend to be minimalistic in design, so I stuck to neutral colors for the majority of my decor. I like pops of color to come from greenery/plants in my decor.

The Decor

My bed is my sanctuary, so making it as fluffy + cozy as possible is essential to me. I like to keep my room as light and airy as possible and maximize the small amount of space that I do have. I found some awesome throw pillows from Pier 1 that I used to add texture and spunk to my otherwise minimal bed. And, because I couldn’t resist, I got 2 new white, fluffy down pillows for my bed. They are SO comfortable and make it feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud.

With limited space comes one big problem: where the HECK will all of my stuff go?! Living in the city has taught me that space is precious, and every square foot should be multi-purposed. I have been storing all of my shoes underneath my bed for months, but always hated how messy it looked.

Pier 1 solved this problem for me with their bed skirts, which conveniently conceals all of my shoes. And trust me…I have a lot of shoes.

Perhaps my favorite part of my new room decor are the fairy glimmer lights that hang behind my bed. I don’t have much room for a headboard, but the lights act as a makeshift headboard and frame my bed nicely. Plus, they come with a remote control to turn them on/off, so I never have to even leave the bed to turn them off when I’m falling asleep at night.

I live in a house with 4 other girls, so I constantly have one (or all) of my roommates in my room hanging out. Although I don’t have a lot of physical space, I like to make sure that I have comfortable spaces for people visiting me to sit/hang out.

My brand new rug makes my room feel that more inviting and is a lot more interesting than my plain brown carpeting. Pier 1 also has an awesome pillow selection that I used to my advantage to make more seating on the ground for my guests. The gray pillows you see (above) are also great because they can be used as decor both inside and outside since they are weatherproof.

So…I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life, but luckily Pier 1 has got me covered with their faux plants. My pick was this agave plant because it looks *so* real, (I’ve fooled 2 of my roommates already), and the marble pot it comes in really adds something unique to an otherwise boring corner of my room. I also like the way that the marble pot looks against the exposed white brick here.

The best thing about the weekend for me is undoubtedly, brunch. Nothing makes me happier than trying out new brunch spots with my good friends in the city. The only problem (which really isn’t a problem at all), is that Chicago has a ton of different restaurants to try. While going to a new place for brunch is exciting, there are a few tried-and-true brunches that I always return to. I’ll be sharing the 5 places that I think serve the best brunch in Chicago, and can’t wait to hear from all you babes where you like to brunch 🙂

The 5 Best Brunch Spots in Chicago

Best Brunch in Chicago

1. Nookies

Nookies is the spot on this list that my friends and I frequent the most. We live close by to the Halsted location, and the food is just too good to pass up.

Everyone can find something that they like on the menu at Nookies, and the food is made fast and tastes great. I’m more of a sweet breakfast person rather than savory, but my friends who like omelets/skillets/meat for breakfast always leave here happy while I can still get my french toast 🙂

My favorite thing to order: Belgian Waffle with Strawberries + Bacon 🙂

2. Melrose Diner

This place is honestly such a hidden gem. I love the interior decor of this place (marble tabletops!) and the vibe. It’s not your typical diner, and the food is out of this world.

Melrose also has a great outdoor patio which is perfect for those upcoming spring/summer weekends. It’s also a BYOB diner which is a plus.

My favorite thing to order: Lemon Blueberry Pancakes. Buuuut, I’m definitely trying the Coconut Toasted French Toast next time I visit!

3. Ann Sather

Honestly I had to put Ann Sather on this list for one menu item only: cinnamon rolls. I’m gonna insert a picture below just so that you can see what I’m talking about.

If you know me at all, you know that I am absolutely obsessed with cinnamon rolls. They are my guilty pleasure and my biggest weakness. Ann Sather has some of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever tasted, and I can’t get enough of them.

This place is usually pretty busy whenever I go, but there are several locations all over the city, so it could be different.

My favorite thing to order: Duh…cinnamon rolls.

4. LOKaL

I randomly stumbled upon LOKaL my freshman year of college and have been in love with it ever since. LOKaL has two locations – one in Lincoln Park, and one in Wicker Park.

What I love the most about this breakfast spot is that the two locations have two totally different feels. The Lincoln Park location is a lot more spacious, quiet, and toned-down. It’s perfect to go with a friend that you want to catch up with and be able to actually hear each other. On the other hand, the Wicker Park location is upbeat, crowded (in a good way), and fun. They play great throwback and current hip-hop jams at the Wicker Park location, and it’s loud.

I love both locations for different reasons, but the food is awesome. I recommend getting a reservation via calling or OpentTable at either location as they get super busy on the weekends!

My favorite thing to order: French toast + side of potatoes
