Podcasts are on the rise and I’m so stoked about it. Personally, I’ve been listening to podcasts for a few years now…but I love the influx of listeners and all of the new shows constantly coming out due to their recent popularity.
If you know me, (or watch my Instagram stories), you’ll know that I’m ALWAYS listening to a podcast. I commute about 15 minutes to school on the train, so I always have my headphones on (these are my FAVORITE) and am listening to an episode.
Over the years, I’ve racked up quite a list of my favorite podcasts and often get questions from you all about which ones are my favorite. I’m sharing ALL of my favorites today and giving you a little teaser on each so you can find one that appeals to you.
PLEASE comment on this post with your favorite podcast – I read all my comments and love to hear from you all. I’m always looking for a new show to listen to and would love your recommendations.
Without further ado – the master list of my fav podcasts!
Crime Podcasts
1. Serial – Season 1
If you haven’t listened to Serial yet – I really don’t know what you’re doing with your life. This was one of the first podcasts I listened to every episode of. Sarah Koenig hosts this podcast and tells the story of a disappearing teen case from 1999. The story is SO CAPTIVATING and will keep you hooked until the end.
2. Up and Vanished
Another great crime story podcast. This one is about the disappearance of Tara Grinstead, a high school teacher from Georgia. I loved this podcast because the suspects in this case actually weighed in and got involved in the podcast after remaining quiet for so many years.
3. Atlanta Monster
I just finished this podcast show up with my sister, Hannah. It’s hosted by the same man who made Up and Vanished. I liked Up and Vanished’s story better, but Atlanta Monster was still pretty interesting and worth the listen.
Entrepreneurship
1. Munchin’ with Moguls
I recently started listening to this series and like it because it features interviews with a lot of the creatives and Instagrammers I already follow and look up to. If you are an influencer/blogger, this podcast is great to gain insight into how other people got their start in the industry and grew their platform.
2. The Influencer Podcast
I can’t rave about this podcast enough. It’s hosted by Julie Solomon, who has a NEVER ENDING STREAM of knowledge on all things blogger/influencer. She’s coached some of the most prominent bloggers out there, and shares all her tips on the show. I love how honest and open she is with her information…she really holds nothing back. This podcast covers everything you’ll ever need to know about being a blogger – from filing taxes, to pitching brands, and making a media kit. HIGHLY. RECOMMEND.
3. Goal Digger
Jenna Kutcher hosts this podcast and I love her genuine personality and spirit. I’ve followed her on Instagram for a while and am happy to get to know her and her brand more through podcasting. She has awesome guests on the podcast, too. I recently listened to her episode about what it’s like to go viral online.
4. Rich B*tch
I love this podcast for Angie’s incredible mindset tips and hacks. She is a firm believer in the power of the mind and your thoughts – especially when it comes to business.
5. The Laptop Lifestyle
This podcast is great for anyone who works from home or virtually (freelancer, blogger, virtual assistant, content creator, etc.) Alexis Teichmiller hosts this podcast and I love her realness and down to earth personality. I follow her on Instagram, too and love watching her stories. I loved her episodes interviewing Lauren Kay Sims and also Sarah Belle Elizabeth.

Just for Fun/Lifestyle
1. Lady Lovin’
Listening to this podcast is literally like hanging out with your best girlfriends. Plus, Lo Bosworth is one of the hosts who is one of my favorite celebs ever (any other The Hills fans?!) Every episode has a different mash-up of topics, but it’s just fun to follow along with the girls’ shenanigans.
2. The Skinny Confidential Him & Her
This podcast is by far probably my most favorite. I put it in the “Just for Fun” category, but it’s also suuuuuper informative and helpful on all topics (beauty, wellness, business, entrepreneurship, personal relationships.) I absolutely adore Lauryn Evarts and The Skinny Confidential, and this podcast is even better because Lauryn’s hilarious husband Michael is on it, too. I can’t say enough good things about this podcast and the episodes that come out week after week. BRAVO.
Christianity/Faith
1. Joyce Meyer
I’ve been a big fan of Joyce Meyer for awhile now because of her strong faith. She never sugarcoats things and is a wise woman with a lot of experience under her belt. Her podcast episodes are usually laser-focused on preaching/talking on one particular topic. You’ll be hooked on her ministry after one episode, I promise.
2. Elevation with Steven Furtick
I would recommend Steven Furtick to those that want to hear from younger, more up-and-coming voices. Steven is very relatable and convicting. I love listening to his messages when I feel distant from the Lord or lonely, as he speaks hope and truth into my life.
3. Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations
Oprah’s podcast is not religious in nature and the topic of conversation often varies. However, I find her podcast and conversations to often feel very spiritual and almost out-of-body. I love Oprah (fun fact), so listening to her interview and gain insight from others is a real treat. Plus, she’s just amazing.
