If you have been following me for awhile now, you would know that I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio (GO CAVS!), but now live + work in Chicago, IL.
Because of this, I am constantly traveling back and forth between the two cities to visit my family back home in Ohio. It seems like I’m always packing up a bag to go home – and I’ve actually gotten good at living out of a suitcase.
However – there are some problems I have when traveling that I just haven’t figured out yet. And I am especially into finding out new “travel hacks” because I am a little bit of a perfectionist, and obsessed with efficiency.
My latest travel must-have, Steripod, has solved a big problem for me – not knowing how to pack away my razors + toothbrushes sanitarily.
Steripod is a clip-on device that keeps toothbrushes clean and sanitary for up to 3 months. The protective ‘pod’ shields your brush from all kinds of nasty airborne contaminants and cross contamination from other toothbrushes – which is super important to me, especially during flu season and my winter travels!
How does Steripod work?!
Steripod uses thymol, found in many types of mouthwash and oral antiseptics, to release active vapors, creating a safe environment to store your toothbrush between uses. It’s specially designed so air circulates freely allowing your toothbrush to dry naturally.
Most contaminants require a moist atmosphere to multiply most effectively, so the drier your brush, the lower the risk of bad bugs on your bristles.
