This past week I got the opportunity to see Chicago from above: in a helicopter!
I had so much fun and wanted to share my experience with you all, (plus, I got some pretty awesome photos.) The tour was through Chicago Helicopter Experience and we departed from 2420 S Halsted St. I took my friend Caitlin (@caitpatton) on the tour with me, too!
I was a little nervous about the actual helicopter ride…and a few of you asked me if it was scary on Instagram. Honestly, you don’t even have time to be scared because once you get strapped into your seatbelt, you’re off the ground!
Everyone at Chicago Helicopter Experience makes you feel super comfortable and safe. We watched a safety video that explained the seatbelts and emergency safety scenarios.
We took a few photos on the ground and then got into the helicopter. Once we were up in the air, all of my nervousness went away and I was just in awe of how beautiful everything looked. We decided to take the Sunset Tour, but there is a Daytime Tour that you can take. You can find more information about the tours here.
The tour itself was about 15 minutes long, and we went all around the Chicago shoreline to see different landmarks. From the air, we could see Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, and so much more. Everything looked SO BEAUTIFUL at sunset and I highly recommend taking this tour. It’s definitely a Chicago bucket list item!
I hope you all enjoyed my photos. Let me know if you’ve ever done a helicopter before or not!
*Chicago Helicopter Experience did send me on a tour. All opinions are my own and honest.*
